Robert O. Weakly - January 26, 2003

BLOOMINGTON -- The graveside service of Robert O. Weakly, 74, of 2014 Tracey Drive, Bloomington, formerly of Minonk, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dana Township Cemetery, Dana. There will be no visitation. Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

He died at 11:03 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 26, 2003) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midwest Kidney Foundation or Dana United Methodist Church.

He was born May 22, 1928, at Pontiac, the son of Patrick and Elsie Ringer Sheahan. He married Ethel Gaded July 25, 1948, at Dana. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Cynthia Johnson, Bloomington; one son, Jack (Shelly) Weakly, Bloomington; four sisters, Betty Flaynik, Columbia, Ky.; Evelyn Anderson, Mansfield; Pat (Frank) Weilgopolen, Ottawa; and Julie (Bert) Quinn, Ottawa; two brothers, Lloyd (Norma) Weakly, Cottage Grove, Minn., and James (Jan) Sheahan, Curtice, Ohio; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was public works superintendent for the City of Minonk.

He was a member of Dana United Methodist Church, Dana. Robert served in the United States Coast Guard and was a member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Minonk.
